  1. Mozilla’s Firefox Browser Is Flatlining: “Not Expected to Win Back Any Market Share At This Point”

Firefox is my main desktop web browser. The only thing Chrome has I wish FF did was the ability to cast a tab onto a Chromecast enabled device
  2. Crucial Ballistix brand going away

One of my first builds I had the Ballistix Tracer memory in it... Eventually it went bad, likely due to the cheap BioStar motherboard it was plugged into. The RMA process was smooth, and Crucial sent back a stress "ball" shaped like a pig, and branded a "memory hog". It was a nice surprise and...
  3. Comments no longer on the main site?

Why can I no longer see comments on the News posted on the main site? Have to specifically go find the thread in the forums to check out the discussion.
  4. Micron Discontinues Crucial’s Ballistix Gaming Memory

One of the first computers I built myself had Crucial Ballistix Tracer memory in it. Loved that stuff! My recent build has the 16GBx2 3600 Ballistix in it... Guess next build it will be something else.
  5. Non-Big 3 Cell Carrier

Just to give everyone an update on this... About a month ago I took the plunge and signed up with Visible Wireless (https://www.visible.com/) Their Unlimited Plan is $40/month, plus I get a $15/month discount through PerksAtWork.com... So, I figured for $25/month, I should at least try...
  6. AMD Releases Radeon Software Adrenalin 21.12.1 Driver with Support for Halo Infinite and More

I just upgraded to these and there is quite a large difference in performance for Halo Infinite. I have a Radeon 6700 XT and at 1440p I noticed an immediate difference in smoothness. Additionally, just looking at my average fps (as captured by the driver software), increased from 62.5 fps to...
  7. Intel Launches 12th Gen Core “Alder Lake-S” Processors, Flagship Core i9-12900K Costs $589

241 Watt for turbo speeds seems like a lot, no?
  8. Halo Infinite Gets a Stunning New Campaign Trailer with Much Improved Visuals

I never play SP games and therefore don’t watch any game trailers. I think this visually looks pretty good! What SP games make this look dated graphically?
  9. Case with buttons on front or side

I'm looking for recommendations on mid-towers that have buttons on either the front or the side. My current case has the power/reset buttons on the top of the case. My cat loves to hop up and sit on top of my tower, and unfortunately, sometimes hits the power button with her paw. I'd love to...
  10. Got a Radeon 6700 XT

I had initially ruled out buying a video card during these crazy times, but decided to check eBay to see how much my video card could go for (Radeon Vega 56).. To my surprise, it was a LOT more than I thought... $600 - $800... After realizing that, I started my search, and I had a card-holder...
  11. Difficult to navigate between pages of a review

I will check on desktop later today and let you know. On Mobile, the “hamburger” icon in the upper right disappears before you get to the end of the article (page numbers). If possible that should also display through the whole page.
  12. Memory speed/settings

Thanks! I pulled up DOCP and the listed RAM specs were right there! Too easy!
  13. Apple’s iPhone 13 Lineup Will Reportedly Start at 128 GB of Storage, with 1 TB Options for Pro Models

Yeah… 64GB iphone here. Only 40GB used, but a lot of that are things like podcasts that get auto downloaded. Could clean it up quite a bit I suppose.
  14. Memory speed/settings

Hi Got some fresh sticks in along with a new motherboard... The RAM is supposed to be running at 3600Mhz 16CL... But I see it's currently running at 1330 20CL... What's the best way to get it up to its rated speed? I very briefly poked around in the BIOS, but I didn't see an option for...
  15. Having issue getting new build to boot

Yeah -- So my brother gave me this board he purchased (I think) prior to the 5900X being released. Turned out to be a BIOS issue... This board has a nice feature that allows you to update the bios via a thumb drive and that solved the issue :) All is good now!

  17. What’s the best way to install Windows when upgrading components?

I have a Windows 10 "Education" license from college that I've been using for the last 5 years... Trying to figure out whether or not I can get use that to do a clean install of Windows on the new hardware..
  18. What’s the best way to install Windows when upgrading components?

Hi all, I’m upgrading my PC for the first time in just under 5 years. I’m wondering if there is a best/preferred method for getting Windows on my new machine. Can I just install via a thumb drive and use the product key in my current system settings? Or should I clone my existing SSD to my new...
  19. AMD Continues to Lose Graphics Card Market Share to NVIDIA

Yep... Would love to buy a new AMD card, but I can't find them in stock. And the times I do find them in stock, they're so ridiculously overpriced it's simply not worth it. My Vega 56 will need to hold out for a bit longer...
  20. Non-Big 3 Cell Carrier

Thanks. I am considering giving Mint a try for 3 months to see... Even if the network gets de-prioritized on occasion, I find it hard to believe it will be so often that it would justify the $80 premium/month I'm paying AT&T.
