I'm a little bit of G.Skill fan as I have 3 kits in three different rigs but I'm simply running them at stock and not trying to OC them but I have used many other brands in other builds over the years. OC'ing ram isn't something I've taken on yet but have had good success with CPU/GPU/Vram.

Anyway here's a story I found interesting:

Something funny to mention is that I actually re-purposed one pair of fans from one kit and attached it to the back of my HAF 932 case for additional exhaust for my 4930k/2080TI.

Always wondered if that affects the CAS latency at all? Seems like the 'snappier' feel would be due to less latency.
